DIY nails: Teal Leopard prints

DIY nails: Teal Leopard prints

Hello everyone! I am not much of a pro regarding nail designs......and frankly, I have never been able to grow my nails much long due to the horrible habit of nail biting! :-( Moreover, Friday is the only day when I get to pamper myself. So this Friday I tried teal leopard prints on my nails and wanted to share it with the world! :-D [You have no idea how much of a big achievement this is for me -_-]

I'm gonna go step by step :-)

1. First, take a hand that has nails. Any hand will do :-D

2. Then take your favourite nail colours. I used black, silver glitter and teal here.

From left to right:
1. Jordana Salon Formula nail polish in Black
2.  Jordana Salon Formula nail polish in silver
3. Isabelle Dupont nail polish in teal (#471)

3. There are 2 more essential things I used. A dotting tool that I made myself (will show you how someday!) and a nail art brush. Here again I did not have a nail art brush, so used a size 0 painting brush. You can find it in any paint & craft store in Dhaka.

4. The first part is easy. Just paint your nails in whichever shade you like in 3 strokes, like the usual. This is how my nails looked after the base paint.

My nails are not that properly shaped, but who cares! :-D First time in my life I have been able to grow them this long!

5. Take your dotting tool. I used my self made one out of a broken chopstick and a pin!

6. Dip the tip of the dotting tool in your desired nail colour. I planned to do teal prints on silver glitters, hence took a little teal nail polish and dotted on the 2 nails I painted in silver glitters. Didn't mind about the irregular dots.........a leopard does not have structured round prints anyway!

7. Then I took my painting brush, dipped it in the black nail polish and outlined the teal dots. Don't worry if your hands shake.........it does not need to be perfect.

Hey look! I have highly prominent veins!!! :-O
 8. Okayh, so where were we? :-\ Oh yes! We were outlining the dots.

And that is it actually. Put on a clear top coat and you are done! :-D

Doesn't look as good as it did on Pinterest :-( Must be something with my lens :-P

OMG! MY FIRST BLOG EVER! o.O

Not technically, I have done plenty of freelancing as a paid blogger before. But this is the first time ever I did it for myself :-D Yay!

#Much love for you all. Stay healthy, and REMEMBER NOT TO BITE YOUR NAILS!! :-( # Stay connected with my facebook page here. You can also follow me on twitter and Pinterest for many other interesting ideas!
